Esta investigación se encuadra en los lineamientos del análisis filológico. Tres partes complementarias la conforman: la primera informa concisamente acerca del significado y de un listado acotado de palabras de la familia de rhetor junto con el origen y función de esta actividad en la Grecia Antigua; luego se alude a la Antología Palatina y a su libro XI y finalmente se exploran quince poemas de dicho libro, que reúne epigramas burlones, en este caso dedicados a reírse del orador. La metodología por aplicar se sustenta en tres etapas secuenciadas y complementarias: indagación del contexto histórico-cultural, análisis textual y filológico y estudio hermenéutico, con algunas notas etimológicas. El itinerario ha implicado la búsqueda y la selección de los textos originales, su traducción personal de la fuente griega, el cotejo con las versiones latina, italiana, inglesa y española y un somero análisis de los componentes lingüísticos, artísticos y contextuales de cada epigrama y otro más abarcador, como último comentario. Estos poemas revelan la irreverencia que suscita el orador, sobre todo por su ignorancia del idioma griego. Como toda representación artística también se constituye en testimonio histórico. El trabajo se propone penetrar, tanto como sea posible, en el espíritu en que los poemas fueron concebidos.

The research fits into the guidelines of philological analysis. Three complementary parts make up the writing: the first one succinctly informs about the meaning and a restricted list of words of the rhetor family along with the origin and function of this activity in Ancient Greece, the second one informs on the Greek Anthology and on its book XI and finally fifteen poems from that book are explored, which brings together mocking epigrams, in this case dedicated to laughing at the orator. The methodology to be applied is based through three sequenced and complementary stages: investigation of the historical-cultural context, textual and philological analysis and hermeneutic study, with some etymological notes, personal translation of the original source, comparison with the Latín, Italian, English and Spanish versions and a brief comprehensive analysis of the linguistic, artistic and contextual components of each text and another more comprehensive one, as a final comment. These poems reveal the irreverence that the speaker causes, especially due to his ignorance of the Greek language. Since all artistic representation also constitutes historical testimony. The paper seeks to fathom, as much as possible, the spirit in which the poems were conceived.
