El análisis de fuentes, que proporcionan conceptos y métodos, es el vehículo para la mejor comprensión del tratamiento que se le otorga en la actualidad a la ordenación del territorio. Determinar las capacidades de los espacios y destinos turísticos, con la finalidad de ordenarlos para dicha actividad económica, exige llevar a cabo un exhaustivo estudio de cuantas interrelaciones confluyen en ellos. En esta labor destacamos el papel que representa la Geografía, y por extensión los geógrafos, como Ciencia que estudia la superficie terrestre, las sociedades que la habitan, sus problemas y riesgos, así como los territorios, paisajes, lugares o regiones que forman al relacionarse entre sí.Comprobar tales afirmaciones constituye el objetivo principal de esta aportación.

The analysis of sources, concepts and methods is the vehicle for the best understanding of the treatment that is granted at the present time to the territorial management and the tourism spaces, and tourism destinies, in order to determine his tourist capacities to carry out an exhaustive study of all the existent interrelationships in the territory. In this work we emphasized the paper that represents the Geography, and the geographers, like Science that studies the terrestrial surface, the societies that inhabits it, its problems and risks, as well as the territories, landscapes, places or regions that form its interrelations. To verify such affirmations constitutes the principal intention of this contribution.
