Ante el riesgo de pérdida de la información sobre sitios con arte rupestre del tramo precordillerano
del Río San Juan, los objetivos del presente artículo son rescatar y sistematizar esos datos, integrarlos a los de regiones vecinas y realizar algunas consideraciones con respecto a sus características y relaciones regionales. Los principales resultados indican una presencia importante de iconografía del período Aguada, la posibilidad de elaborar una secuencia temporal de motivos antropomorfos y la identificación de representaciones de filiación incaica.

Given the risk of losing information from rock art sites along the Precordillera section of the San
Juan river, the goals of this paper are to present and systematize these data, integrate them with data from
neighboring regions, and discuss their characteristics and regional relationships. The highlights of these
results include the significant amount of iconography from the Aguada period, the possibility of developing
a temporal sequence of anthropomorphic motifs, and the identification of designs with Inca affiliations.
