Los historiadores contamos hoy para estudiar el pasado reciente con una gran cantidad y variedad de fuentes entre las que se encuentran los testimonios. En particular, los de las sobrevivientes del Holocausto nos permiten no sólo ampliar nuestro conocimiento acerca de
uno de los acontecimientos de mayor trascendencia del siglo XX sino
que, además, nos permiten incorporar a la reflexión histórica las voces y
experiencias femeninas en situaciones extremas.

Nowadays we historians have a large number and variety of sources from which to study the recent past, testimonies among them.
Particularly, those of the survivals from the Holocaust allows us not only to widen our knowledge of one of the most transcendental 20th century happenings but also to incorporate the feminine voices and experiences in extreme circumstances to the historical reflection.
This work aims at analyzing the different forms that survivals testimonies acquire while, at
the same time, pointing out their worth as sources for history in general, and of women in particular.
